Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, Feb. 21-25

The Association of Independent Mortgage Experts (AIME) announced the appointment of member Tom Ahles as president of growth. Ahles is vice president and co-founder of Edge Home Finance.

The National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) named C. Renee Wilson as its executive director. Wilson has served as interim executive director for the past seven months and has been part of the NAREB team since 2005. After serving as special assistant to the president and as special-projects manager, she was named as NAREB’s executive and management consultant in 2007 and as its national relationship manager in 2009. Prior to joining NAREB, Wilson was principal owner of United International Mortgage Bank. Wilson, who attended Woodbury University, also founded two firms: CTS Consultants Firm and CTS Real Estate Services Brokerage.

SitusAMC announced that Joe Salmons and Rob Dace have been promoted to senior vice president of sales and associate vice president of sales, respectively. Salmons will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational direction for the sales team, ensuring that key growth objectives are achieved while overseeing key partnerships. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage and title industries to SitusAMC. Prior to joining SitusAMC, Salmons served as the national director of business development for Visible Equity and spent seven years as the vice president of sales at ValueCheck. Before joining ValueCheck, Salmons held various sales leadership roles across the mortgage and title industries, including at First Valuation, National 1 Source and Lenders First Choice. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado. Dace, who will focus on expanding the firm’s client relationships, previously served as a licensed mortgage originator for Michigan United Mortgage and as an account executive for NYCB Mortgage Banking. Dace also has held sales roles at Credit Suisse and CitiMortgage, among others. He holds a degree from Western Michigan University.

BSI Financial Services announced that Kelli Yarbrough has joined the company as its new senior vice president and chief lending officer. Yarbrough will be responsible for all lending operations, growing the firm’s loan portfolio, and managing a team of dedicated loan officers and underwriters, among other duties. Yarbrough most recently served as executive vice president of loan retention at ServiceMac LLC. Before that, she held a similar position at RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing Corp., where she helped launch the company’s mortgage origination division. A graduate of Belmont Abbey College, Yarbrough holds a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Down Payment Resource (DPR), the nationwide database for U.S. homebuyer-assistance programs, announced that it has appointed Marcy Ash, AMP, as director of strategic projects. In her role at DPR, Ash will manage relationships with state housing-finance agencies, and spearhead industry partnerships and strategies that help DPR deliver greater value to its customers. Prior to joining the DPR team, Ash was assistant vice president and senior product manager at Huntington Bank.

Greystone announced that Triloki Kaushal has joined the firm as a managing director. In this role, he will focus on debt sales and services for multifamily clients across Greystone’s agency platforms and lead the firm’s affordable lending sales desk. Prior to joining Greystone, Kaushal most recently served as a chief underwriter for Newmark’s Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac platforms. Before his role at Newmark, he was a managing director and a senior credit officer at Hunt Mortgage Group (now Lument). He earned a bachelor’s degree from New York University along with master’s degrees in economics and international political economy and development from Fordham University.
