Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, July 27-July 31

 
Anderson

Guaranteed Rate Affinity has announced the appointment of Jim Anderson as senior vice president of strategic growth. He joins the company with more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, specializing in business development, strategic sales and risk management. In his new role, he will support the company in advancing its mortgage operations throughout the country while developing its relationships with strategic partners and borrowers. Before joining Guaranteed Rate Affinity, Anderson held several executive and sales director positions for multiple large companies within the mortgage industry.

 
Sigillo

Cenlar FSB has announced today that Lou Sigillo has joined the company as senior vice president of contact centers. He will be responsible for overseeing Cenlar’s contact center operations, with an initial goal of standardizing, streamlining, and upgrading workforce and technological processes. Prior to Cenlar, Lou was a senior vice president of client engagement for Alorica. Before that, he was vice president of customer service operations for Verizon’s wireless operations.

 
Sheehan

Genworth Financial, Inc., has announced that current executive vice president and chief investment officer Dan Sheehan will succeed Kelly L. Groh as chief financial officer upon the completion of Groh’s resignation, expected to occur in early August. Sheehan, who has been with Genworth and its predecessor company for 22 years, will retain his role as CIO upon assuming the CFO position. In addition, Genworth will appoint Brian Haendiges as executive vice president and chief risk officer, effective September 8, 2020. He will assume the CRO responsibilities from Groh, who has served as interim CRO since January 2020. Most recently, he was senior vice president of U.S. pricing and product management at MassMutual, and prior to that held leadership positions at ING and Aetna.

 
Tasaki

CMG Financial has welcomed Kelly Tasaki as its new regional manager of Hawaii. Tasaki will be based in Aiea, Hawaii, and lead the entire CMG Hawaii team to capture more market share and open new branches to better serve the local community. She has over 17 years of mortgage industry experience, most recently as vice president and branch manager at Compass Home Loans for over four years. She has also held leadership positions at Bank of America, Pinnacle Capital Mortgage, American Savings Bank and Central Pacific Home Loans.

Evergreen Home Loans has announced the appointment of Dan Starelli as regional manager of California. In his new role, Starelli will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic growth of branches in California. Starelli has over 30 years of retail mortgage industry experience, most recently as sales manager for Cardinal Financial Company.

 
Anderson

Mortgage Connect LP has announced that Tim Anderson has joined the company as senior vice president of digital technologies. With more than 35 years’ experience developing e-commerce and digital transaction management solutions for the mortgage industry, Anderson will execute strategies to further expand and enhance the company’s Simply Secure Sign platform, as well as digital strategy and delivery management. Prior to Mortgage Connect, Anderson was the senior vice president of business development at Pavaso.

 
Sobel

Walker & Dunlop, Inc., has hired Jared Sobel as managing director in its New York office. Sobel will play a leading role in the growth of the company’s multifamily small loans group, which provides sustainable and affordable financing solutions for smaller apartment properties. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Sobel was an executive vice president with the Debt & Structured Finance Group of CBRE’s Capital Markets division.
