Freddie Mac has named Ling Xu vice president of multifamily investments and portfolio management. In her new role, she will be adding market risk and capital strategy to her current responsibilities, which include management of Freddie Mac’s multifamily portfolio strategy, hedging and balance sheet management. She began her career at Freddie Mac as a business application project manager in 2002, moving up the ranks to director by 2006 and rejoining the government sponsored enterprise in 2009 after a few years at American Capital. She received an MBA in finance from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.

Shepard
Homespire Mortgage has added Arlin Shepard to its Front Range, Colorado, office as a branch manager. With nearly two decades in the mortgage industry, industry veteran and Colorado native Shepard has experience as a branch/area manager with several companies, including Cherry Creek Mortgage Co., Finance of America Mortgage, and Republic Mortgage Home Loans, American Pacific Mortgage of Colorado and Wells Fargo.

Joseforsky
The StoneHill Group has announced that Julie M. Joseforsky has been appointed director of fulfillment services. She joins the company after nearly 30 years of executive-level mortgage experience, most recently with People’s Bank. In her new role, she will provide senior leadership for strategy and execution of the company’s suite of loan origination fulfillment services, serving clients’ business process outsourcing needs.

Williams
Wells Fargo has announced a pair of additions to its leadership team: Ather Williams III, who will join the company in October as head of strategy, digital and innovation, and Mike Santomassimo, who will join the company in the fall as chief financial officer. In his new role, Williams will lead corporate strategic planning; define and manage digital platform standards and capabilities; and manage innovation priorities, opportunities and companywide efforts to drive transformation. He joins Wells Fargo after nine years at Bank of America, most recently as head of business banking; prior to that, he spent eight years in leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase. He holds bachelor’s and master’s of business administration degrees from Harvard University. Santomassimo has over 20 years of leadership experience in banking and finance, joining Wells Fargo from BNY Mellon, where he was CFO since 2018. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, he spent 11 years at JPMorgan Chase after beginning his career at Smith Barney.

Dotzenrod

Theodore
Total Expert has welcomed Kevin Dotzenrod as vice president of engineering and Laura Theodore as vice president of customer success. Dotzenrod brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role, having led engineering and technology teams at companies like Target, Amazon and Dow Jones. In his new role, he will lead Total Expert’s engineering team as it scales product architecture to a high-throughput enterprise system. Theodore joins the company with more than 14 years of experience, most recently serving as general manager at StreetSmart and as senior director of global support services at Salesforce company ClickSoftware. Serving as vice president of customer success, she will focus on helping Total Expert further develop its process-driven, highly-scalable, and customer-centric approach to product experience and engagement.

Allen
Valligent has hired Walter Allen as executive vice president of digital transformation. In this new position, Allen is charged with driving change and implementing Valligent’s digital and technology strategy in key areas of appraisal alternatives, alternative inspections and cloud adoption. Prior to joining Valligent, Allen was an executive with CoreLogic Solutions for 13 years.
Cenlar FSB has promoted five company leaders across the organization. Keith Dyer has been named vice president of portfolio acquisitions, spearheading corporate investment strategies, focusing on the acquisition of whole-loan assets from current subservicing clients and other third-party counterparts. He joined Cenlar in 2015 as director of portfolio acquisitions after founding two mortgage companies in New Jersey. Amy Hardiman has been promoted to vice president of talent management. She will be responsible for Cenlar’s performance and talent review program, career development, college programs and professional development. She began her career with Cenlar in 1998 as second vice president of talent management and human resources/corporate training manager. Elena Kaganovich has been named vice president of compensation, benefits and human resources operations. She joined Cenlar in 2017 as director of compensation and benefits. John Mezzasalma has been promoted to senior vice president and chief accounting officer. He joined Cenlar in 2015 as vice president and chief accounting officer. Prior to Cenlar, he was a senior manager with KPMG. Mary Ann Sullivan has been named senior vice president of transfer operations. Sullivan will oversee eight departments that support Cenlar’s core functions, including servicing transfers, new loan boarding and new client integration. She joined Cenlar in 2001 after serving as assistant vice president in Chase’s mortgage division.
