Deephaven Mortgage added Jason Dumke as its Eastern regional vice president of wholesale sales. Based in Massachusetts, Dumke will be responsible for helping mortgage brokers in the eastern U.S. grow their nonqualified and nonagency mortgage business in partnership with Deephaven. He brings more than 20 years of mortgage sales experience to Deephaven, most recently with Power TPO and First Guaranty Mortgage Corp. Dumke holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Bryant University.
Prosperity Home Mortgage promoted Justin Messer to president and CEO. Messer has been with the company since 2011, serving as senior vice president of capital markets and corporate strategy before his promotion to chief operating officer in 2019. Before joining Prosperity, he was a trader at Quicken Loans (now Rocket Mortgage) for five years.
Cornerstone Home Lending (CHL) announced the return of Kelly Zitlow to the company as executive vice president of sales and engagement. Zitlow, who is approaching her 27th year in residential home finance, originated loans at CHL for nearly five years before departing for Keller Mortgage in early 2022. She also has held leadership roles at Cherry Creek Mortgage and Suburban Mortgage.
Merchants Bank of Indiana announced the hiring of Jarek Koperski as a mortgage originator. Koperski, who will be based out of the company’s Chicago office, brings nearly a decade of experience to his new role, most recently serving as senior associate at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp.
Sagent announced the appointment of Marianne Sullivan as chief operating officer. Sullivan also will remain on Sagent’s board, which she joined in September 2020, as she assumes an active operational role. Sullivan is a veteran of the mortgage lending industry, including a tenure at Fannie Mae that spanned more than a decade. For more than eight years, she served as the government-sponsored enterprise’s senior vice president of single-family business solutions.
JLL Capital Markets announced a pair of intracompany transitions. John Huguenard, co-lead of industrial capital markets, is moving from the firm’s Chicago office to its Miami office. Wells Waller, previously based in the firm’s Dallas location, is joining the Miami industrial team. With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Huguenard specializes in industrial investment sales for institutional and corporate clients as well as private owners of real estate. Huguenard received his bachelor’s degree in personal management and labor relations from Indiana University.
Proptech investment platform Keyway announced the addition of Ada Phang to the company’s leadership team as managing director and head of business development. Phang most recently led sales and strategy at Roofstock. Prior to that, she spent more than a decade in banking at companies such as Goldman Sachs and HSBC. She will be working with family offices and institutional investors to provide them access to the small commercial real estate space at scale.
