Industry Watch: Rocket adds remote seller agent program, Figure partners with Sagent and more

Rocket Companies has announced a new program remotely connecting home sellers with Rocket Homes real estate agents to help them sell their properties on their own. These agents, according to a press release from Rocket, can advise clients on list pricing, facilitate professional photos, list the house on the local multiple listing service, negotiate offers and handle all paperwork, while receiving a commission of 1.5%. According to Rocket, compared to the traditional fee of 3%, this represents a savings of $4,500 on a $300,000 home sale. This option will be open to the public starting in the fourth quarter of this year.

Not long after revealing a merger with Homebridge, Figure has announced another big move, announcing a partnership with Sagent. Sagent will power Figure’s mortgage servicing as Figure looks to aggressively grow its mortgage market share, and the two companies will offer borrowers the capability to manage the life cycle of their mortgage from an app on their phone.

Nations Lending has announced its continued investment and expansion in Texas with the addition of a new Highland Village branch. The company has tapped Clayton Cummings to lead the new branch. He comes to Nations Lending from Academy Mortgage Corporation, where he spent the last eight years serving as a local branch manager.
