Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, June 22-June 26

 
Daly

Guaranteed Rate has added Joe Daly as national renovation sales leader at Guaranteed Rate Affinity. Daly, whose experience in the industry spans several decades, will be responsible for managing the company’s renovation sales activities, solidifying training and certification programs, recruiting experienced loan officers and expanding the company’s ability to meet the industry’s rising need for renovation loans. Before joining Guaranteed Rate Affinity, Daly served as director of renovation lending for numerous national mortgage lenders. Daly, who will be based in Chicago, holds a degree in finance and financial management services from Miami University.

 
Lochmandy

Sierra Pacific Mortgage has hired Jeff Lochmandy as vice president and divisional sales director for third party originations. Lochmandy joins Sierra with over 30 years of leadership experience in the mortgage industry, most recently as managing director for HomePoint Financial and its predecessor organization, Stonegate Mortgage, for the last seven years. Prior to those positions, he held regional and national sales leadership roles at other top 20 firms. Lochmandy, who will be based in Atlanta, earned his bachelor of science degree from Indiana University and is a graduate of the School of Mortgage Banking.

 
Dhandapani

CBRE Group, Inc., has announced that Chandra Dhandapani, previously its chief digital & technology officer, has been promoted to chief administrative officer. In her new role, Dhandapani will have responsibility for the company’s human resources, marketing and research organizations, along with digital & technology, which she has led since 2016. She will also continue serving on the company’s executive committee. Prior to CBRE, she was a senior executive at Capital One Financial for 17 years. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Stella Maris College in India, and MBA degrees from IRMA in India and the University of Texas at Arlington.

 
Schubert

LenderClose has announced the addition of Martina Schubert as the company’s first chief technology officer. Schubert joins LenderClose with more than 25 years in information technology leadership experience, most recently with DLL Financial Solutions Partner. Schubert earned an associates degree from Des Moines Area Community College, a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and an executive MBA from the University of Iowa’s Tippie School of Management.

Fowke

John “Chuck” Fowke, founder and president of Tampa-based Homes by John C. Fowke Inc., was named chairman of the National Association Home Builders (NAHB) during the association’s spring leadership meeting. First elected to NAHB’s senior officer ladder in 2018, Fowke will remain as NAHB chairman through the 2022 NAHB International Builders’ Show. He has 40 years of experience in the home building, has served on the NAHB board of directors for more than 20 years and is a longtime member of the association’s executive board.

 
Rocco

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced that Matthew G. Rocco Sr. has been nominated to serve as the organization’s vice chairman for the 2021 membership year. Rocco, chairman of the board and CEO of Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, is expected to be installed at the association’s 107th Annual Convention in October. An active MBA member and member of the MBA’s Commercial Real Estate Finance Board of Governors, he holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Alabama.

 
Palladino

Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap, has announced that Anthony Palladino has joined the company as a vice president in Portland, Oregon. He will assist institutional and major private multifamily investors with acquisitions and dispositions in partnership with executives in the firm’s Seattle office. Previously an investment advisory associate with HFF, he has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Oregon.

 
Henley

Scott Henley has joined Certainty Home Loans as division president of its West division. He will focus on growth in the company’s existing Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado markets, as well as leading the company’s expansion into new markets. He has worked in the mortgage industry for over 25 years and has a substantial amount of experience in correspondent and retail lending. Prior to joining Certainty Home Loans, Scott was the chief production officer for Gateway Mortgage Group.
