LenderClose has added Samantha Paxson to its board of directors effective April 22. Currently, Paxson also serves as chief experience officer for CO-OP Financial Services, and has served as advisor to the OpenIDEO Challenge on Financial Empowerment, the CUNA Marketing Awareness Group, the National Credit Union Foundation board and the CHOC CU4K board. In addition to her service to LenderClose, she currently serves on the boards of USCCU and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Credit Unions For Kids.
Gilmore
ServiceLink has added to its leadership team by appointing Yvette Gilmore as senior vice president of servicing product strategy. Gilmore brings more than 20 years’ experience leading servicer relationship and performance management efforts to the company. In her new role, she will be responsible for developing ServiceLink’s products and services that support strategic servicer client initiatives, as well as supporting the company’s EXOS One Marketplace software. Prior to joining ServiceLink, Gilmore spent more than a decade at Freddie Mac, where she held several leadership positions and most recently served as vice president of servicer relationship and performance management. Prior to joining Freddie Mac, she led the loss mitigation departments at IndyMac and Washington Mutual.
Morley
Realtor.com has announced that the promotion of Rachel Morley to chief product officer. In this role, Morley will lead product strategy for the real estate technology platform, helping to make buying, selling and living in homes easier for the site’s users. Most recently, she served as senior vice president of product at Realtor.com; before joining the company, she held multiple positions at REA Group and co-founded product development agency Cogent.
Upshaw
Arnold
Hyperion Mortgage has announced the additions of Carol Lynn Upshaw, who joins as a senior mortgage loan originator, and Debra Arnold, who joins as a loan officer assistant and senior processor. Upshaw has 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry, while Arnold brings more than 35 years experience in banking and finance.
Thackston
Virginia’s First Bank & Trust Company has announced that Mark Carroll Thackston has been appointed as senior vice president and commercial loan officer. He served most recently at Bank of Charlotte County, and has also worked as a private practice attorney. In his role at First Bank & Trust Company, he will work with businesses to identify, provide and leverage flexible financial solutions, providing services to the Lynchburg, Virginia, market. Thackston holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics and business from Virginia Military Institute and a juris doctorate from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
Stitgen
Real estate transaction law firm Cook & James has added Sarah Stitgen to its attorney staff. Stitgen will take the lead on closings in the firm’s satellite Woodstock, Georgia, office, but will also be a key closing attorney as the firm continues to handle real estate transactions via at-home, mobile, curbside and more across the Atlanta metro area. She comes to Cook & James after working for a large environmental engineering firm, as well as doing legal work in consumer bankruptcy, mortgage default and real estate closings. She graduated from John Marshall Law School in 2008 after earning her undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in public administration from Kennesaw State University.
