Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, May 17-May 21

First American Financial Corp. has announced that Kenneth D. DeGiorgio has been named president. In his new position, DeGiorgio will have oversight responsibility for the corporation’s operating groups, including its title insurance, specialty insurance and data and analytics businesses. DeGiorgio joined the company in 1999 and, with the separation of First American from its former parent in 2010, was named to his most recent position as executive vice president.

Nations Lending has announced that Cindy Levorah has joined the company to lead its Santa Fe branch. Prior to joining Nations, Levorah spent six years as a branch manager at Homeowners Financial Group and more than four years as a private mortgage banker at Wells Fargo.

Andy Spicer has joined Deephaven Mortgage as vice president of client development, Correspondent. He brings more than 30 years of correspondent and wholesale mortgage sales leadership experience to his role. Most recently, he directed Midwest Sales with Caliber Home Loans/Correspondent Lending, and he has held similar positions with MetLife, Bank of America and Washington Mutual Savings Bank.

Old Republic International Corp. has announced that Frank Sodaro, currently the company’s deputy chief financial officer (CFO), will be named its new CFO effective July 1. Concurrently, he will join Old Republic’s Office of the Chief Executive Officer, bringing 26 years of experience to his new role. Chris Lieser will succeed Sodaro as deputy CFO.

Ross Mortgage Corporation has announced the hiring of Sheri Crump as vice president of mortgage lending operations. In her new role, Crump will be responsible for increasing efficiencies and decreasing expenses by continually evaluating Ross Mortgage’s systems and process flows. She will assist with overseeing and supporting the operations team, while working closely with departments companywide to maintain quality control. She brings 28 years of mortgage industry experience to the position, previously serving as director of mortgage operations for Chemical Bank before joining Ross Mortgage.

USAA Real Estate has announced that Ryan Krauch, most recently a principal with Morgan Stanley’s Mesa West Capital, is joining USAA Real Estate’s senior leadership team as Executive Managing Director and member of the investment committee, effective immediately. Prior to joining Mesa West in 2007, Krauch headed the joint venture equity acquisitions platform for Somera Capital Management.

Province Mortgage Associates has added Ian Morander as a Mortgage Advisor. Prior to joining Province Mortgage Associates, Ian worked for five years at Solidifi Title and Closing as a closing specialist. He majored in sports management at Eastern Connecticut State University.
